Glenn Berg, Owner and President An earlier career in electronics design in the aerospace industry provided Glenn Berg with an exceptional foundation for the heating and air conditioning business. Since entering the heating and air conditioning field in 1978 here in the RogueValley, he has had extensive training specific to the industry including basic and advanced courses from the Oil Heat Institute of Oregon. Glenn was one of the first people in the western United States to obtain a Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling. He also has, among other licenses and certifications, a general contractor’s license and a Limited Maintenance Specialty Electrical Supervisor’s license (LMS). Glenn personally designs all commercial jobs and provides general oversight for residential installs.Respect for technical knowledge and quality craftsmanship are among Glenn’s core values. Not only does he continually seek to upgrade his own professional training and that of his crew, he actively encourages high educational standards for others working in the heating and air conditioning industry. Glenn is past Charter President of the Rogue River Valley Chapter of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society and a charter member of the Rogue River Chapter of the Oregon HVAC/R Joint Apprenticeship Training Council. For over six years Glenn has chaired this local chapter committee, and he has helped set apprenticeship standards as a member of the 2006-2007 State Apprenticeship Standards Committee. As lead instructor, Glenn teaches first and second year HVAC apprenticeship courses through RogueCommunity College.While the rest of the crew drives modern service rigs, Glenn enjoys driving his vintage 1929 Model A pickup. He says, “It slows me down.”
Adam Berg
Service Manager, Adam Berg (Glenn’s son) has shaped our service department into one of the finest in the valley. While overseeing daily operations and department business, Adam still handles some service calls and backs up the other technicians when necessary. Adam is an experienced Journeyman. He began working for the company part-time while still in high school. Adam completed the four-year Oregon HVAC apprenticeship course in 1999, and holds a LEB (low voltage electrical) license, a gas fitters license, EPA certification, and a brazing certificate. He also holds a state sponsored Performance Tested Comfort System (PTCS) Heat Pump Certification. Adam continues to upgrade his skills through factory sponsored classes and seminars including Mitsubishi’s Advanced Products Training and also serves as a member of the HVAC/R Joint Apprenticeship Training Council.
